The Epic V5 is now available in two lightweight composite layups, the Ultra and Performance, as well as the extremely durable Rotomolded layup. Ultra layup is shown above and in more detail in the gallery below, along with the new color for the 2019 Rotomold V5!Excellent stability allows beginners to jump on and paddle with confidence and give more experienced paddlers a short, stable surfski to use in big or rough conditions. Sleek lines and Epic’s comfortable surfski cockpit make the V5 perfect to learn downwind paddling and great for playing in the surf zone. The V5 composite, with its lighter weight, is even easier to carry to and from the water and unload from your roof rack. The V5 comes standard with under hull rudder, adjustable foot brace (including pedals that automatically adjust line length), rear storage compartment, bow and stern handles, center carry handles, water bottle holder and Epic’s patented bailer. An optional stern kick up rudder can be added to the Rotomolded version with no modifications needed to allow the V5 to be paddled in shallow or rocky areas.

The cockpit is the same as the V8 surfski and features a fully adjustable foot brace and a bottle holder. The deck has rear deck bungees, safety lines, and also incorporates bow, stern, and side carry handles. The Epic bailer, breather tube and the patented Trackmaster Plus kick up rudder system are also featured. Rotomolded kayaks have traditionally been heavy and difficult to handle, both on and off the water. The Epic V7 breaks that mold and sets a new standard for rotomold performance. It is lightweight, extremely efficient, and easy to handle. The V7 is outfitted with the same high quality fittings as every surfski in the Epic lineup, including our carbon fiber footboard and pedals and the hugely popular Epic designed bailer. In addition, it features an aft storage compartment with a waterproof hatch that puts the V7 in a class of its own. The 17’ x 21” V7 adds a whole new dimension. It offers similar stability to the V8 with the increased durability of a polyethylene kayak. Its capability can be further enhanced with the optional kick up rudder (no modification needed). This combination allows the V7 to be paddled in areas where composites cannot.

The legend continues with the Gen 3 Epic V10! Our customers asked for a ski optimized for downwind surf conditions. The result is a nimble surfing boat for advanced paddlers, that doesn’t require elite level stability skills. The Gen 3 V10 has increased rocker and modified seat placement compared to the Gen 2 V10. The length is reduced to 20’6” or 6.25m. Stability is similar to the Gen 2 V10 which feels rock solid for advanced paddlers in a variety of conditions. The ergonomic cockpit facilitates easy remounting, and the adjustable Epic bailer keeps your ride dry. The new V10 seat is barely wider than the V12 seat – still narrow enough to feel secure to average to smaller paddlers, with a few added mm to accommodate those squeezed in the V12 or V14. The under-knee hump is reduced for improved leg drive. Experienced paddlers will find the 2018 Gen 3. V10 to be the perfect all-around boat for a variety of conditions.

The seat is very comfortable and ergonomics are superior with the cut outs to allow a closer paddle stroke. Bailers are standard in both cockpits, allowing quick drainage when needed, with the option to close them and give a dry cockpit with decreased drag in flat conditions.

The SLS 10 has been designed in collaboration with 16 times Australian Surf Life Saving champion Clint Robinson. Epic’s chief designer, Greg Barton & Clint carefully spent time testing and re-testing every element of the design on multiple prototypes to get it perfect. The result is a ski that has incredible speed, comfort & strength. Some of the key elements of the SLS 10 include: Highly efficient when heading out through the waves. As it punches over, the white water surrounds the tail of the boat, giving it the ability to stay straight. The lifter at the front of the ski and deck have been developed to help the paddler keep momentum through waves & minimizes the amount of water that hits the paddler or slows down their speed. The hull of the ski provides strong pick up pressure from ocean runners and allows the paddler to head down wind or back to the beach with good assistance. The rocker throughout the shape provides good flat to light conditions speed, as well as the ability to move smoothly out in the ocean waves and swell. The cockpit provides excellent paddler comfort and biomechanics, allowing them to generate quality speed & power. The double foot-well system in the adjustable SLS 10 minimizes the volume of water that is carried in the cockpit. This system is extremely strong and supportive for quality leg drive. The SLS10 is a product to paddle anywhere at any time – it has strong internal support and is built in Epic’s extremely strong, stiff and durable vacuum infused, heat cured composite of Carbon, Fiber Glass & Kevlar. The SLS 10 (adjustable footboard) will be followed by a fixed leg length version of the ski, with the same hull. The fixed length version is still in the prototype phase & being finalized.

In a class and category of its own, the V11 is an exciting new addition to Epic’s line of innovative surfskis. The V11 is for the progressive paddler who is looking for a boat that is agile and extremely responsive, making short work of the most difficult conditions. The V11 (At 19ft, or 5.79m) has been designed to carefully balance length and stability with boat volume, to optimize this boat’s proven surf characteristics and not lose its racing edge. The V11 cockpit and seat design continues the Epic tradition of optimizing comfort and leg drive. With Epic’s signature comfort, style and extreme performance, this boat is a new breed of thoroughbred.

The V12 is designed to be the ultimate downwind machine for advanced to elite level paddlers. The updated design has more rocker, a reconfigured cockpit for a drier ride and a more responsive rudder position, all with more stability than the V14. After testing several prototypes in locations around the world, we feel this is the best surfski for elite, open-water paddling, especially in big downwind. The V12 is faster than the V10 on flatwater and is a good choice for those looking to move up. Highly skilled elite level paddlers with perfect stability skills will find the V14 slightly faster on flat water. But as soon as the wind and waves pick up the new V12 will be their weapon of choice. Mere mortals who want a really fast boat on flat water that can also handle rough stuff will find a good fit in the V12. It is noticeably more stable than the V14, but less stable than the Epic V10.
SPECIFICATIONS: Length: 21′ (6.4m) Width: 16.9″ (43 cm) Depth: 13.8″ (35 cm) Capacity: 310 lbs (140 kg) Paddler Fit: 5’5″ to 6’7″ (1.65m to 2.01m)
The V14 is designed to be the fastest surfski on the market for mid sized water conditions. We’ve pulled out all the stops to go beyond the V10 and V12 with an even sleeker shape and narrower waterline. The bow of the V14 is much narrower compared to the rest of the Epic ski line. This helps the V14 knife through wind chop & small waves.
SPECIFICATIONS: Length: 21′ (6.4m) Width: 16.9″ (42.9 cm) Depth: 12.6″ (32 cm) Capacity: 300 lbs (136 kg) Paddler Fit: 5’5″ to 6’7″ (1.65m to 2.01m)
Epic paddles are available in 3 different shaft options: hybrid, medium flex, and stiff. The difference is material composition and weight.

The Large Wing is designed specifically for sprint racers, specializing in 500m and 1000m events. Available in our Full Carbon Stiff Shaft construction option, which is designed for maximum energy transfer.
The Epic Active Touring paddle combines the lightweight, clean performance of Epic’s Relaxed Touring paddle with a larger blade surface, providing more power for paddlers utilizing a high angle stroke and seeking a distinct edge in speed and acceleration. Perfect for fast touring and racers who opt not to use a wing paddle. Available in 2 options: Hybrid construction, 30.5 oz (865 grams);comes standard with Epic’s Length-Lock 2™ adjustable ferrule technology. Full Carbon construction, 24 oz (680 grams); comes standard with Epic’s Length-Lock 2™ adjustable ferrule technology.
